Back in the 'Boro

Well, we are back in Murfreesboro. Our year long stint in the country is officially over. I have mixed emotions about it. I think that I would eventually like to live out a bit from town, with some land. It is a lot of work but it was also really peaceful. I had a total 'A-HA' moment the other day when I realized that I could go anywhere I wanted and still get back home within minutes, not hours. In Manchester the nearest Dairy Queen is in McMinnville 30 minutes away. We went for ice cream last weekend and we were home in 15 minutes. It was AWESOME! I am loving the house we found to rent, it has plenty of room and it is really open. The kids love having a long driveway and a Cul-de-sac for bike riding. They have already made friends with one of the neighbors. And the best thing of all...I have only had to fill the van up with gas twice in the last 2 weeks!! AMAZING!! We would normally be on #7. Now, if I could just convince Spencer that we could use the savings in gas for Caitlyn to take dance class, I would be a super-happy mama!

Ben has had Cub Scout day camp this week. He is loving it, but man is he beat when he gets home. I volunteered to help out Thursday and Friday. (I love to torture myself!) I do not think I have sweat that much ever!! It was a good day, but a hot one and I have the sunburn to prove it. I went today and they already had 3 leaders so I graciously bowed out and let them take it. I know, I am so giving!! :) My kids weren't too happy with me. Ben wanted me to stay with him, and the other 2 have been in 'sprout camp' and had been having a really good time. I convinced them it was better not to have an over-baked mom.

And lastly, we have the honor of washing machine shopping tomorrow, Can't wait! I really hope we can find one on the cheap, because a future of 3 kids at the laundry mat is enough to make me want to pull my hair out. And the alternative of the fam running around naked just isn't good for anyone!

Now, if you will excuse me, I was actually able to buy ice cream at the grocery store, which I haven't done in a year and I hear it calling my name!
