That 1st recap was getting kinda long so, I thought I would break it up a bit. Here's your follow-up...
December 26th was Sunday and we only had Sacrament meeting. It was in the morning and the rest of the day seemed REALLY LO-o-ONG!
December 27th Spencer and I celebrated our 13th wedding anniversary. He has already bought me tickets to see U2 in July. I am excited for that concert! We took the kids to see "Tangled". Cute, cute movie!
December 28th is Spencer's Birthday! The kids and I surprised him with a guitar case for his new Gibson Dot. Now affectionately known as "Dottie". A funny story for you... On Friday the 17th the kids and I went into Johnny's Guitar to buy the case. Spencer has been calling everywhere to find a used one but all he could find were new cases. It just wasn't in the budget to buy one. On Saturday the 18, we got a sitter and went to do our Christmas shopping. Out of the blue Spencer decides he wants to go into the guitar store... Johnny's Guitar... to see if they have any old cases. I played it off really well and just crossed my fingers that the sales people wouldn't rat me out! The owner thought he recognized me and totally played along. The sales lady actually said "We had a case just yesterday but a lady came in and bought it for her husband." I held my breathe the whole time we were in there. Around 11 I went and helped a family move and Spencer and the kids ended up coming to help out as well.
December 29th Spencer has a co-worker with some land and a hankerin' fer guns. He had invited a few people to come out and share his obsession. I knew it was planned but didn't realize that it would end up as a day long man-date for Spencer. After shooting he headed over for a sushi lunch and then hit the theater to see True Grit. I actually am glad he had a good day out playing. He works very hard and doesn't always get to hang out with friends.
December 30th dawned bright and early with a phone call that Spencer was needed, if at all possible, to relive a leader at Winter Scout Camp. His wife was pretty sick and needed him home. I do not usually like my plans being interrupted, and I had plans for a family trip to the Chattanooga Aquarium. For some reason I didn't care this time and before I could give it too much thought told Spencer he should go. I think it was because I didn't feel starved of time together, if that makes any sense?(Thanks Meghan for letting me drag you at there for no reason!)Ben stayed the night with a friend so that just left me, Matt and Cait. We had a slumber party in the living room and watched "Nightmare Before Christmas", I thought it an odd choice for them, but they wanted to see it so I let them.
December 31st Spencer came home from camp and I headed to the doctor's office. I have been pushing myself all week and finally just couldn't do it anymore. I have bronchitis and pneumonia. Who knew?! The plans for New Year's Eve were out and we just stayed home and watch "Ramona and Beezus" (Also a super cute movie, and rated G!) with our 2 youngest monkees. (Ben is still MIA at his friend, Connor's) We let them stay up for a countdown into 2011 and sent them off to bed.
Well there you have it. Now we are 2 days into 2011 and I am very excited to see what is in store for us. I know that the Lord has blessed us and looks after us. I know he will continue to do so. I also know that it is through trials that we grow and I just hope the Lord doesn't stretch me too hard! (Hey that would make a great bumper sticker!)

Roxy left out a couple of things:
1. After my day-long man-date I put out in the garage to set up 2 shelves and arrange the camping gear for about 4.5 hours.
2. After coming home from Camping, I stowed my gear and went back into the garage. Roxann came out and helped sort. I set up the 3rd shelf, moved the camping gear to it, cleaned my work bench and arranged my tools. By 7pm we had a garage that I now want to live in.
3. Saturday, we took down Christmas. I went shopping for some fix-it supplies and ended up finishing birthday shopping at Wal-Mart Clearance for Ben and Matt. Came home and went to work fixing stuff on my list of honey-dos thanks to my newly uncovered and organized work space.
4. As part of my fix it experience, I fixed a leg on my cot with a piece of 14ga 1" tube steel. Cut it to fit, took an 8th inch long splinter to my left thumb and fixed it. Like a boss. Shower of sparks while cutting the steel yielded me 6 more chest hairs. Hoo-rah!
