Bitten By The Bug

The LOVE BUG!! HaHaHa! Just kidding, I do make myself laugh though! So, I know you have all been just sitting around wondering what I have been up to lately. I know you have NOTHING better to do. Well, wonder no more. I have been on a Valentine's Day craft kick. Here are some of my projects...

A Candy Jar made from a pot and a lid. The lid is not sitting right in the picture, but you get the idea!




A Heart Topiary made from some Dollar Store goodies, and some pails I found at Hobby Lobby on sale.

















A vase, made from a votive holder and vase from the Dollar Store! I glued them together with super glue, which was a bad idea. It clouded the glass really bad. Oh well, live and learn. Next time I will use a different adhesive and try again. I wrapped it in some Valentine's Day garland to make it festive!


And here is the finished mantel...Whaddya think? I am pretty happy with the way it turned out!

In case you are wondering. No, I did not think of all this by myself. I run across things on the blogs I read and then think, I could do that. So I get the general idea and then make it my own. And believe me, if I can do it, you can to. (if you wanted to.) I also made a banner that says "Be Mine". I am not sure I am done with that yet. I think it needs a little something still.

I am currently working on "couture" Valentine's for the kids to hand out at school. I have Little Monkee's done and about half of Middle Monkee's finished. I think they turned out really cute. I still need to design and make First Monkee's and when that's all finished I will get some pics and do another post. Stay Tuned!!
