We got a new pool...

As the heat of Memorial Day became too much to bear, we endeavored to finish our chores before playtime. I got the lawn mowed after attending a small service project for Bro. McKee. Caitlyn had got up in the morning and donned her swimming suit, eager for a chance to "go the the beach" Alas, we kept the kids locked up all day so that the jobs of painting the bathroom and grooming the yard could be done.
Finally the lawn was of a reasonable length and the kids were restless. Roxann told me to go buy the kids a pool and to cool them off. So off we went to Wal*Mart to brave the crowds for a suitable pool. ...and so did everyone else. We even ran into the Kailiponi's who stand as our only Polynesian family in Murfreesboro as far as we know. They, too were looking for a break from the heat.
The children were minding their manners so that dad would bless them with the right pool. We found a small 8ft filtered pool which was not much more than the others so we bought and loaded it up in the car.
The time was 1:30 and it was getting late in the afternoon, so I drove them through McDonalds for a sack of cheeseburgers. 25 minutes and $5 later we were finally done and on our way home. But by the time we got home, a wicked thunderstorm had rolled in. The kids were distraught and it rained and rained and rained... All night.
So after work today, we got it ready. Here is the result.

Yes.. I cranked Caitlyn on the head with the play shovel. But we had fun until it again got too cold and the weather clawed its way back in on us... or so it seemed. It is cloudy, but I am still waiting for the rain.

Love and miss you all.

Spence
