Meet The New Neighbors

Well here they are, the new neighbors...

I have been outside today, trying to get the front yard to look better. There are weeds everywhere, the garden, the front bushes, even around the propane tank. (Yes, we now have a propane tank. That phone call was probably hilarious for the lady at Highland Rim Propane.)

We live in a house that sits on 5 acres, it has a barn and detatched garage. Part of the backyard is fenced off so there is lots of space beyond the fence. One of the ranchers here asked us if we planned on using it, and we told him we had no plans for livestock. He called the landlord and the rest is blog history. So far we have 7 calves. The kids are really excited!

You've made Bryan homesick. His parents keep their cattle in the "backyard" in winter. It's not really the backyard, it's a field behind and below the house, but still, it's a "backyard".

You should invite those friendly Zebra's to live there too!
I miss you guys!
