As many of you who are familiar with our blog and our children know, Matthew is in a Baptist pre-school. I think it's great. He is in a place where our values can be upheld while he gets a decent education. No problem, right? You see, us "Mormons" don't do that whole crucifix thing and Matt comes home with quite a lot of them. And then there have been some other questionable activities which I won't go into. Some include praising Jesus in the loudest of ways, and talking about riding a car up to heaven to MEET Jesus and letting us know that he doesn't want to die on a cross, like Jesus. It's not that it's wrong, just that it seems so foreign to us and as a result a little strange and off-putting as it doesn't seem to hold the same reverence that we are accustomed to. Which brings me to my point.
Matthew has a craft that he made at school last week. It's an angel. But when you look at it... well... I just can't describe it. It's probably the most evil and haunting thing I have ever seen. It's unholy gaze burns deep into my soul. I can hear its evil laughter as it plots my destruction.
I love you Matt.... But jeeeez!!!

That is frightening. I would have to "accidentally" lose it or spill kool-aid on it.
I worry about sending my kids to that kind of preschool for the exact same reasons. I'm hoping I can get a spot in the regular school's preschool program when the time comes. I still have another year or so though.
I agree- a little creepy... and funny! You need to come to Sonshine School- they don't scary things like that or talk about riding in a car to heaven.
Ha ha. Your kid is turning into a Baptist.
